Pastor Bill Wagner is the sole pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church and a vital part to the success and growth of our program. Your child will interact with Pastor Bill weekly during Chapel as he teaches about God in a way that is captivating and  memorable. He ends each Chapel with a treat or trinket that leaves the kids talking about all they learned for days to come.

LaDonna Lyons - Director

Hello, my name is LaDonna Lyons and I am the director here at TLC Childcare. I hold a bachelor degree from MTSU Dept. of Education in Interdisciplinary Studies. I have spent the last nine years working with children! Prior to TLC Childcare, I was a 5th grade teacher at Donelson Middle school for seven years. During that time, I became a demonstration teacher and began studying Kagan Strategies, Whole-brain teaching, and graduated from the Artisan Teaching Academy.

Two years ago, God called me to begin working for Him and spreading His word. So, my husband and I (along with a dear friend!) started a youth program here at Trinity Lutheran Church. It was during a conference for youth leaders, that I once again felt God calling me. This time I felt the call to become a Director of Christian Education (DCE). Shortly after, I enrolled in CUE.net and began my DCE training. (A program I am still completing!) A few months later, the position to be director of TLC Childcare was presented to me. What an awesome God we have!

In August of 2015, I began my work here at TLC. I have learned so much and have enjoyed almost every moment! (The snotty noses were something to get used to.) It is my desire that every child leaves our center knowing Jesus loves them and has a calling for them too. We strive every day to provide each child with a long lasting desire to continue learning and growing in his or her personal, educational, and spiritual life. God has also blessed my husband and I with a 15 yr. old who is a Freshman at Columbia Central and is a member of their color guard. We are sure to be kept busy between football games and competitions. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask. I look forward getting to know all of you.

Mikayla Busby - PreSchool 4/5 Assistant

Hello, my name is MiKayla Busby and I am the floater here at TLC. I am lucky enough to have the chance to work with all of the children. I recently graduated from Mount Pleasant High School. My plans for after high school were to go back to school to study surgical technology but that was never really my dream job. Since I was little I’ve loved children, at 5 years old I was trying to be “mommy” to my younger brother. So when I found out about this job I know it was the perfect way to “get my foot in the door” and see if teaching is really something I want to do. In the future I would like to possibly have my own classroom here at TLC.

Sharon Braden - PreSchool Closer

Hi, I'm Sharon Braden, PreSchool teacher at Trinity Lutheran Church. i enjoy working with and teaching the children, as it is said "The youth of today will be the leaders of tomorrow." My time spent teaching them fills my heart with so much joy. The children are all a precious gift from God and we must do our best to instruct and direct our children in the right way. Children benefit from daily activities and learning life skills to carry on. As a teacher, I feel that is important to be supportive and keep positive reinforcement (praise!) for children. Positive behavior is very import for life development for children today. As teachers we must be honest, be willing to communicate, and keep our child-re safe at all times.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." [Jeremiah 29:11]
